Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials James Dashner
Poster Focus: Themes
Friendship: Thomas has a strong bond with other gladers
Versions of reality: Everyone is becoming infected with 'The Flare'
Memory: All the kids have lost their memories of their lives before being put in the maze
Fear: While going through the trials, they're faced with many fears. (being attacked by animals, coming face to face with cranks, death)
Reasoning: Tell what the book is about
Rhetorical reasoning: Logos because the picture frame on the wall provides a visual reason for "The Flare"
My thoughts
I think my ideas for the flier and the pamphlet were easier to come up with, the slogans took more time, and were more difficult.
Pamphlet
The Scorch trials : The gladers going into the real world and facing obstacles while going through the devastated landscape
The Scorch is where the gladers enter after leaving the maze and then rescued, this is the main location in the book .
Flier
Importance of challenges
Reasoning: facing challenges can make seem brave, and being brave will allow people to trust in them more
The other gladers trust in Minho,Thomas, and Newt because they were the ones who were brave enough to lead them all out of the maze
Slogans:
Don't worry about the past, stick with what you know
The gladers don't worry over the fact that they have no memory of their lives before, they stick with what they know and focus on the future and their life at that moment.
The close ones can turn too
Teresa was the character who was very close to thomas and in the scorch trials she turns on the gladers by switching to another group, and trying to take advantage of Thomas
