Median
Ex.1,7,2,5,3,9,3. You put them in order from least to greatest, 1,2,3,3,5,7,9. The 3 is in the middle. 3 is the median of the numbers.
You put all of the numbers in order and then find the one that is in the middle. If it is an even set of numbers, you find the mean of the two numbers in the middle
Ex. 1,4,2,6,3,5,7,10,9,8. You put the numbers in order from least to greatest, 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10. There are 2 numbers in the middle, 5 and 6. You find the mean of the numbers. 5+6=11. 11/2=5.5. The median of the numbers is 5.5.
Mode
ex: 7,4,5,2,6,4,2,5,7,8,9,7,543,6,77,54,4, 2,2,4,4,5,5,6,6,7,7,7,8,9,54,7,7,543
7 is the most common so it is the mode
to find the mode first you have to put the numbers in order from least to greatest then you find which number is repeated the most
Mean
Ex.1,2,3,4,5. You add 1+2+3+4+5=15. There are 5 addends, so you divide 15 by 5. 15/5=3. The mean of the numbers is 3.
You add all of the numbers in the group and then divide the sum by the number of addends.

Range
To find the range first you have to put them in order least to greatest, then you find the lowest number and the highest number, next you have to subtract the lowest number from the greatest number and that is your range

To make a box plot first you have to put the numbers from least to greatest, then you have to find the median(the middle number) put a line on your number line where that is supposed to be, Next you have to find the upper quartile and lower quartile(quartile means median) put on your number line number line, next put lines connecting all of the medians, after that you find the lowest number and the highest number and put those on the number line, add one line connecting the lowest number to the lower and a line connecting the highest number to the higher quartile.

You find the mean of the group of numbers and then subtract the mean by the group of numbers you used to create the mean. After, you find the mean of the numbers that you created by subtracting the mean by the previous group of numbers.
