These quotes symbolizes the inequality between whites and blacks. The first quote, it shows Nina, a Negro girl who is Mrs.Dubose’s slave, being in constant attendance and doing so much for Mrs.Dubose. In the second quote, it represents how blacks are being tested because of their race. It protrays that whites are higher ranked than blacks, and that they won’t even put a white criminal alongside negroes in jail. For Example, Boo Radley did a crime, but they didn’t do the same punishment for him as they did for the Negros, even though they could’ve have been innocent. In the third quote, the blacks holy place of worship is considered just an area to gamble to whites. All of these quotes show the unfair treatment that blacks get because of their skin color. They have to suffer more and have to live with the stereotype as bad, poor, and evil in this story. In the story, whites completely get an advantage, and get more respect from one another more than the respect that blacks get.
