Promotes free enterprise
SOCIAL/ POLITICAL
COMMUNICATION TOOL - Improves communication and access to information. Digital Literacy reduces communication barriers - universal language?
All Government departments depend on technology - i.e. everything from the national defence to the social services system
REDUCES BARRIERS between nations/cultures - i.e. sharing of food and fashion cultures leading to fusion styles of dressing and cooking
ARTS AND CULTURE
Helps Learners connect to the world - i.e. languages, cultures, ways of life
Promotes respect for diversity and inclusion
The ability to create is tied to digital literacy and use of technologies
Participation in media - movies, television, news, social media
