Alpha Wolf
-
You all held onto a rope and had to walk through the woods to find the alpha wolf. (a worker from Taft)
We had to howl as a group and listen for the alpha wolf to howl back. We would find the alpha wolf by howling. Once we found it, it would give us either a human chip or a wolf chip. A human chip is bad because that means your group was talking like a human. If you got a wolf chip that means you were only using symbols and wolf noises to communicate with your team. A wolf chip was good.

My group consisted of, Sophia, Lucas, Nick P, Joey, Mr. Ryan, and I.

There were herbivores, omnivores, and carnivores. The herbivores had to go around to the food and water posts. They weren't able to eat anyone else. The omnivores could only eat herbivores and they could also eat from the food and water posts. The carnivores ate everyone and could only use the water posts because they don't eat vegetables which were the food posts.
You "eat" someone by tagging them. Once you tag them they have to give you one of their life chips. Herbivores have 4 life chips. Omnivores have 3 lives. Carnivores have 2 lives. Once you run out of lives you have to find medical person which was Maddy PS. She would give you another life.
There was a hunter (Mr. Ryan) who would say BANG, which means he killed you. You would have to give him a life chip.

Pioneering
We used many tools to cut wood. One of these special tools was the push-pull saw. 2 people would use it and one person would push while the other pulled. This would eventually cut the piece of wood.
We got to make candles by dipping a piece of string in wax then water. We did this until we had made a candle that was as thick as your pinky. You could also shape you candle into any shape that you liked. This was a really exciting activity.
We went into a cabin full of tools and instruments that pioneers would have used. There were many different items that had useful and sometimes silly meanings. A lot of the tools needed to sit by the fire before being used to get them warm.
Endeavors in Engineering

Every group had a budget of $1000 that they could spend at the store to buy materials for their design.
Our group was struggling to build a design at first, but then Ms. Kucera came and helped us make a design.
Dining Hall
Food
The dining hall had extremely delicious cinnamon rolls for breakfast. They were warm and gooey with sugary sweet frosting lathered all over them.

How it looked
-
There were gigantic slanted windows that you looked through. You could see The Rock River from them.
