The Roman Empire Geo Wrap-Up
Push Factors:
Weak Army: Roman became discouraged to help aid the Roman Empire. Since most citizens of the Roman Empire became discouraged to helping in the military.That later caused Rome to hire their enemies to help in the army and lead to the downfall of the Roman Empire.
Famine: Since inflation was a huge downfall of the Roman Empire famine soon became one of the main issues that also lead to the downfall of Rome.
Wealthy Death rate: Wealthy people in Rome had aqueducts that lead to their homes. The water was thought to be pure. Romans didn't know that lead was actually very poisonous, so they put lead pipes after they had cleaned the water.
Pull Factors:
Clean Water: Rome knew that clean water was healthy, and really important to live and believed everyone who can afford it should have it.
Education: Rome believed having a good education was very important and thought everyone should know how to read, and write.
Citizenship: People came to the Roman Empire to be a citizen and Rome would give citizenship to people who wanted it.
Big Idea: The Roman Empire was at it's peak. But, greedy rulers, wealthy death rate, weak army, and disease lead to Rome's worst nightmare. Even though Rome had major flaws it also had it's great things.
Introduction: Romulus named Rome after himself. Romulus and Remus are the founders of Rome but, the older brother Remus was never the ruler. Remus was murdered by Romulus to become emperor. Constantine was thought to make Christianity and Christianity is the first official religion of Rome. As with all things every good thing must come to an end. Julius Ceaser was a great ruler but he was killed by enemies that lead to Augustus to be ruler. After Augustus's death is lead to many greedy rulers and the decline of Rome.

Text To Self: I can connect the text to myself because I use the alphabet every day in modern time.
Text To Text: I can connect text to text because in the hunger games they give citizenship to everyone in each district.
Contributions:
Concrete was one of the contributions Rome made to modern day, and is still in use.
Aqueducts was another object that Rome came up with but, modern day we modified it so it doesn't kill us.
Alphabet is something we use daily in modern day, to speak, or to write a story.
Calendar came from the Roman Empire and Augustus named August after himself.
