Customer requirements; this defines the functional, operational and performance specifications that must be met for the project’s end product.
Statement of work defining the major tasks that will need to be performed to accomplish the work that needs to be done to meet the deliverables
All the work that must be done to reach all the project deliverables, meet sponsor expectations
Deliverables that is the products/outputs that the project team/contractor will produce & provide to the customers during & at completion of the project

Acceptance criteria for all project deliverables must be described in greater detail than what is stated in the project charter

Once the scope of the project has been defined in the terms of reference, the project enters the detailed planning phase. This involves the creation of a
Financial Plan: Involves identifying all income & expenses. Output of the financial plan is the cash flow statement
Procurement plan:Involves identifying all materials & equipment to be sourced from external suppliers. The output of the procurement plan is the procurement schedule.
Risk Plan: Involves highlighting potential risks & documenting actions that might be taken to mitigate them. The output of the risk plan is the risk register
HR Plan:Involves listing the labour & human resource requirement. The output of the resource plan is the resource histogram.
Quality Plan: Involves providing quality targets, assurance & control measures. The output of the quality plan will be the quality assurance plan & the quality control plan.
Schedule plan: Involves outlining the activities, tasks, dependencies & timeframes
Communication Plan: Involves identifying how each of the stakeholders will be kept informed of the progress of the project & identifies the types of information to be distributed, the methods of distributing information to stakeholders & the frequency of distribution
