Onymous messages are ones created by a specific person to which can be identified as well. Anonymous messages are those to which the specific person cannot be identified.
At work, they allowed me to remain anonymous on the voting process. 
Anonymous messages allow for people to be honest and open about their responses.

Lying refers to the act of sending messages with the intention of giving another person information you believe to be false. 
It is not clear when people are lying, but they can be seen making less sense, being tense, or even giving off a negative impression.
I would be experiencing truth bias if I believed my patient was telling me the truth.
