Toi answer the question well you need to do 2 things- Find the information the question asks for and explain why the information aswers the question
You need to identify what vocabulary is needed. The vocabulary used in the text should tell you what subject you need to use in your argument.

To report what a writer syas in a text you should summarise what they say and how you know- use quotes from the text
The author will use points to develop their argument, look for discourse markers.
You will need to implict information- but the information isn't obvious so you must 'read between the lines' to infer from the text
To imply something, it means t suggest something without openly stating it.
Information can be implied from saying what isn't true.
One piece of information can be implied by giving another.
Writers can make their views and feelings clear without openly stating them: 'i would rather stick pins in my eyes than do homework'- This implies that the writer doesn't like homework.

A summary is a shortened version of something, keeping the main points and leaving out the unnecessary detail.
When writing a summary you don't add your own thoughts or comment on the writer's style or techniques

Approaching the question- skim read both texts, highlight main points, do quick plan, focus on question, don't repeat

When using quotes from the text, if they are hsort quotes you can put them into a sentence(embredding) Examiners prefer you to embed.
If the quote doesn't fit easily into a sentence but is quite short put a colon before it. If the quote is quite long you leave a line and indent the whole quotation
