- - - - Each is unique work with its own distinct poetic that ranges from large literary elements such as narrator and dialogue, down to the specifics of imagery, allusion, and vocabulary.

        Chaucer's language was more generally, the language of London in which eventually become Standard English. This leads to the modern form of writing- Chaucer ensure that the pattern of his own lines ran smooth by choosing the appropriate form (here, gan... 'Shoute' instead of Shouted, 'laughe' instead of laughen or to laughen), and by exploring the possibility of pronouncing an -e in one word ('game') while it was left silent to another ('fonde')

      - The distinctive's style called -High and Low- known for layering their elements so as to create a simultaneity which was finally basic for every use of language and his broadest themes.
        
        High = Complex with vocabulary in heavily polysyllabic and recherche while the second sentence of general Prologue is shorter, syntactically straightforward.
        
        Low- the sense by means of the contrasts they offer to each other as by the inherent set of linguistic properties, it is a tactic of simpler the complex to a straightforward boundary.
