Observe/Identify Stuggling Students
Not able to keep up with peers
Need extra time completing assignments
Need one-on-one guidance to fully understand concept or activity
Identify students struggling, not able to keep up, or complete grade level tasks
Referral form to Special Education teacher
SpEd and Reading Intervention teacher will further evaluate
Students with an Intellectual disability, communication disorder, or health impairment
Direct SpEd referral, start testing with Parent approval
Student with specific learning disability
Begin tracking student scores and interventions
Attempt up to 3 times differentiated instruction, and intervention
SpEd referral
Track and compare students growth to peers
CONTACT PARENT - express concerns and gather backround information, tips and tricks they might have.
WORK CLOSELY WITH PARENT THROUGHOUT PROCESS TO ENSURE ACCOUNTABILITY AND SUCCESS OF STUDENT
