Background research: Many children that are deaf-blind have some usable vision/ or hearing, and majority also have a physical, mental or cognitive problem. There are a variety of different causes for deaf-blindness, including different syndromes, multiple congenital anomalies. Challenges of the deaf-blind can include, but are not limited to: communication and language development, movement and motor development, cognitive development, emotional and social development, body image and self-concept.

Adaptive devices: Braille note takers, electronic Braillewriter
Other Accommodations:
Use other teaching strategies like symbolic communication (sign language, object symbols), individuals might have a slower response time, so allowing sufficient time for student to respond. Might need touch in order to ensure that partner shares focus of attention.
