Mutated DNA

Mutated DNA could be because of random chance during meiosis or mitosis that repair proteins failed to fix. The mutation could also be because of damage to the DNA because of harmful conditions such as ultraviolet light.
We decided to use the p53 cell to kill off this cell. P53 is a kilodalton protein. This primary function is a transcription factor. This helps regulate the activity of genes. This process would normally function to shut down a cell division when a cell is stressed. Due to the lack of oxygen in this cell the p53 is activated. The p53 stops all reproduction, and either fixes cell or starts the process of apoptosis (programmed cell death).P53 can either stop cell growth or trigger the cell to die. The genes that p53 activates controls many functions of the cell. In this case it will trigger the cell to die due to lack of oxygen and DNA damage.
