        If a light wave of a given frequency strikes a material with electrons having the same vibrational frequencies, then those electrons will absorb the energy of the light wave and transform it into vibrational motion. During its vibration the electrons interact with neighboring atoms in such a manner as to convert its vibration energy into thermal energy. The light wave with that given frequency is absorbed by the object never again to be released in the form of light. (11)

        Concave mirrors: Condense lots of light onto a smaller viewing area and allow you to see far away objects. (10
        
        Convex mirrors curve outwards like the outside of a balloon. (10)
        
        Parallel rays of light strike the mirror and are reflected outward. (10)
        
        Used in shop security and rear-view mirrors on vehicles because they give a wider field of vision. (10)

The students are using calculations to investigate the relationships. They also are illustrating the waves interactions when they are reflected,refracts,diffracted,or interferenced. The students are taking the knowledge that they have learned over the years and using claims, evidence, and resting to describe why these things are occurring.
