Quoting Paraphrasing Summarizing
A summary is when you make a shortened version of the writing, but it still contains main ideas and it doesn't have your opinion
Quotes are when you use text directly as it appears
Paraphrasing is when you out text into your own words, for example, you should change the key words to paraphrase
All of these need to have a citation of where you got the information from
Deciding whether a website is credible or not
Is it professional
Does it have relevant information to your topic
If it is .com then it has less of a chance of being credible
How to gather relavant info-
Use a good research question
Use websites that are credible. .Com Websites usually aren't very credible
How to wright a good research question/keywords
Use keywords that will shorten the question
Combine two key words (make sure they are synonyms) using the word and, or quotations
Use good detail, and don't make it super long
Plagiarism
Plagiarism is when you use someone elses words without giving credit to them
Avoid it by citing your source or by paraphrasing
MLA
You should always give MLA citations when you use information from a website/someone else
