Eukaryotic Cell Organelles
Lysosomes
Lysosomes remove all of the bad materials in the cell. I put a trash can because a trash can removes all of the trash in a house.
Nucleus
The nucleus holds all of the information like DNA. I put a stack of books because books hold a lot of information.
Golgi Apparatus
The Golgi apparatus folds proteins. I put folded clothes because the clothes are being folded just like the proteins are.
Vacuole
The vacuole is the storage unit for any extra cells. I put a shelf because all of the extra items in a house are placed on a shelf.
Smooth ER
The smooth ER has no ribosomes attached to it making lipids. I put a knife because there are no ribosomes attached to it symbolizing the knife cutting off the ribosomes.
Microfilaments
Microfilaments are a big strong support to the cell. I put tire because a tire holds up a car making it a strong support.
Cell Wall
The cell wall protects all of the organelles. I put a wall because walls protect all of the materials inside a house.
Chloroplast
The chloroplast gathers sunlight to make photosynthesis. I put solar panels because they obtain the suns energy to make energy.
Cytoplasm
The cytoplasm is the liquid inside the cells. I put air in a house for the cytoplasm because that is the environment we are in.
Mitocondria
Mitocondria is the powerhouse for the cells. I put a gym because this is where the powerhouse(parents) get mentally and physically strong to instruct things in the house.
Ribosomes
Ribosomes make proteins and transfer them. I put a keyboard because a keyboard transfers information from your brain to the computer.
Microtubules
Microtubules move around objects in the cells. I but a rope because a rope moves around objects in your house.
Cell Membrane
The cell membrane protects the cells from the outside environment. This is why I put a helmet because a helmet protects us, humans.
Rough ER
The rough ER has ribosomes attached to it making proteins. I put an oven because in the oven when something is being cooked or baked the ingredients begin to stick together.
