Heart
Veins/ Artery made up of
Tunica Media: Muscular middle layer
Function: Maintaining blood pressure as well as blood circulation via Vasoconstriction/Vasodialation
Tunica Intima: Innermost Layer
Function: Creates slick surface which minimizes blood friction.
Tunica Externa: Outermost layer
Function: Reinforces the blood vessel to withstand the blood circulation.
Valves: Control blood flow in the heart.
Semi lunar Valve: Cusps present at opening of the Aorta and at the end of pulmonary artery
Artiovascular Valves: Allow blood to flow from the atria to the ventricles. Prevent blood flow in opposite direction.
Vena Cava
Right atrium:
Right Ventricle
Pulmonary artery: Artery carrying blood from the right ventricle to the lungs.
lungs
Arteries: Carries oxygenated blood to the body
Arterioles: Branches off of arteries
left atrium
left ventricle
Aorta: The main artery of the blood which supplies oxygenated blood
Rest of body (Capillaries): Transports blood to the tissue of the body.

Aorta: The main artery of the heart which supplies oxygenated blood to the body.
Medulla:Regulate heart and blood vessel function
Atria: Receives blood from the body returning to the heart
