Selection - Is all about choosing the best person for the job: by checking out their application forms; interviewing them and giving them tests to see if they are suitable.

Recruitment - Is all the stages involved up to and including attracting applicants to apply for a job in your organisation ie Job Analysis, Job Description, Person Specification, Advertising the Vacancy.

People/Human Resources - This department deals with employees. They recruit, select and train staff as well as have meetings with staff for various reasons (a bit like your guidance teacher), deal with employee relations and employment laws

Role of Technology in Managing people - ICT can be used in the finance department in various ways. It might be to communicate with the bank ,to check their balance, to remain customers to pay over due bills, or to calculate and prepare financial document eg profit statements. This allows the organisation to keep track of cash flow and identify any problems
