Conclusion/answer
Robotic automation will have a wide ranging impact on society, we will have to adapt and change as our current society morphs into whatever it will become be that one run entirely by algorithms for maximum efficiency or where humanity pushes beyond its boundires and becomes more than ever before. What we do know is that in 100 years time our lives will be indistinguishable from today for better or for worse.
Robotic automation will have a wide ranging effect on society. The predicted levels of unemployment can only be described as catastrophic by today's standards. In order to cope with this change we must find meaning in our lives and our existence. In order to cope we will take on new and exciting challenges such as founding a martian colony and becoming more than human. Sadly though the governments that have the power to enact the decisions required to help humanity cope with the turbulence of change, seem blissfully ignorant of the dire need for discussion and debate on this most important debate.
