Sound Cards
Most computer have an in-built sound card on the motherboard.
But a separate sound card can be added as an additional piece of a device to configure audio to a set of speakers, headphones etc.
Motherboards
A motherboard is a circuit board or as is often called the mainboard or a logic board. All of the devices within the processing device list connect to the motherboard.
The motherboard connects everything together and makes it work flawlessly, if everything is connected correctly.
Network Cards
Network cards are used on desktop computers to connect to the WI-FI as most desktop computer do not have a built-in network card in the motherboard.
Almost all laptops have a built-in micro network card on their motherboard.
Storage Devices
USB Drives
USB Drives are great for storing relatively small amounts of data ON THE GO.
SMALL AND LIGHT
Has NO MOVING PARTS
SSD's
Solid State Drive's are MUCH FASTER than regular Hard Drives.
Has NO MOVING PARTS, unlike the Hard Drive.
Information is stored in microchips.
Hard Drives
Hard Drives are SLOWLY being replaced by Solid State Drives for modern day computing.
Hard Drives will still be very relevant for keeping LARGE amounts of data (Data Storage).
Hard Drives consist of a spinning disk - using a READ / WRITE head on a mechanical arm called AN ACTUATOR.
