Fashion these days is far more adventurous than it was in the old days, and I feel as if the 2000s really had an amazingly huge impact on that beginning. This would be through the media and the celebs that rose to the top in the 2000s showing that they could wear whatever they wanted and letting kids that grew up to now be able to make their own decisions on who they are showcase that through their clothing choice.

Toys. The toys of the past decade have been more complicated and battery based than those of the early 2000s. Toys for girls were more oriented towards things like cooking and dressup Barbie dolls where now there are things like nerf guns in pink and purple that are centered around girls as well as boys.

Music. The people who were just getting started as teens in music in the early 2000s are the 20 something year olds who are making it big in todays music industry because they have grown up with the times changing and know what their/our generation of kids and young adults want to listen to.

Movies. The main movies for the 2000s were those of Disney and Pixar. Specifically things like Camp Rock, High School Musical, and Cars as well as Nemo and Toy Story. Movies for kids now are more mature in a way even though they cant really understand what exactly the characters are saying or doing, they laugh because the humor is adult enough that they think they know what's going on.

Logos have taken a more complex look from the 2000s. Now Disney has the word Disney spelled out with the ears on the I; however, the fun and experience of drawing the ears on tv with the stars is taken away.

Conclusion: Overall these trends and fads have paved the way for new advertising, new products, and new fashion trends. They also made careers for many people. Taylor Swift started out in the 2000s and now she's one of the most popular people on the planet. Same with MIley Cyrus. She started out doing a kids show and singing as her alter ego Hannah Montana. She showed millions of little girls that they can do whatever they want and be their own person.
Predictions: Our predictions for this upcoming round of trends focus around fashion and aspects that go along with it. For fashion it would be things like jean skirts coming back around and scarf belts making the circle again. More and more people will be wearing jewelry like bracelets again as well. With hair, we predict that feathers and just the more volumous styles will surface once again.
