Six Articles of Faith in Sunni Islam
The Oneness Of Allah :silhouette:
The concept of Tawhid. This means that Allah is the creator and sustainer of life.
He has no family or children and nothing is like Him.
He cannot age and die because he was not born and cannot die.
Angels do the work of Allah.
They deliver revelations via the prophets so that Muslims know what to do/.
They record the words and actions of each individual person so they have a good account of every action that the person has done.
They receive souls upon death.
Don't have free will like humans, Allah controls what they do.
The Books :check:
There are 5 books of authority : the Torah of Moses, the Psalms of David, the Gospels, the scrolls of Abraham, and the Qur'an.
According to Muslims, the first 4 books have been lost in their original form or changed.
The only book in it's original form is the Qur'an. It is the direct word of Allah as given through Angel Jibril.
Supremacy of Allah's Will :pencil2::
Sunni Muslims believe Allah knows everything.
Qadr means everything is ordered by Allah, nothing is random or by chance.
Humans do have free will though, but as Allah knows their past, present and future their choices are already known to Him but not to them.
Day of Judgement
Muslims believe there will be a day (Day of Judgement) when all Muslims and others stand alone in front of Allah, who decides whether they go to Heaven or Hell based on their deeds.
Everyone must answer for themselves and accept the consequences of their thoughts and actions on Earth.
Human life acts as a test for the eternal life to come.
Prophets and Messengers :silhouettes:
They are chosen by Allah to deliver his message to humankind.
Muslims believe that Allah has revealed messages through time to guide humanity.
Prophet Muhammad was the last of the prophets, he was given ultimate guidance.
As a result of this, there is no need for any more prophets.
