Music was very laid back and up beat. They mostly sang about the beach and happy things. Some Popular bands of the 60's were The Beach Boy's, The Beatles, and Elvis Presley.

FASHION

The early 60's were conservative and restrained; while the late 60's had bright, swirling colors. Psychedelic, tie-dye shirts and long hair and beards were seen everywhere. Shorts, skirts and dresses got short and sleeves began to disappear.

TOYS
Candy Land 
New toys and dolls were coming out and taking the world by storm. Chatty Cathy; a talking baby doll came out and gave Barbie a run for her money. Some of the toys and games that made their appearance in the 60's are still being played with today!

Most of the restaurants were dinners. They were bright colors and had a lot of classic foods.An example would be Mr. Steak, and Howard Johnson's. Popular foods were meatballs with grape jelly and fondue.

Most of the inventions during the 60's were everyday kind of things. Something that can be used everyday. An example of this is the hand held calculator and cassette taps.

Most of the movies during this time were action or adventure. There was also some romance in the mix. . Some examples are Spartacus, breakfast at Tiffany's.

Most of the famous people during the 60's were more political people. They were all more of proper people, besides the famous singers which includes Elvis Presley and then there was Marilyn Monroe. None of them are like we have today, where they are famous TV people.

The type of product packaging was very colorful and was either a lot of words or very little words. They were very applying to the eye.
