Some w NASH will progress to Cirrhosis - but some don't. Thought to be due to oxidative stress causing progression
Symptoms
Often asymptomatic
May experience
Malaise
Weakness
Hepatomegaly
Pain in upper right abdo quadrant
Treatment
Gradual wt loss + PA
Rapid wt loss can accelerate development of NAHS to cirrhosis and cause gallstones
Insulin sensitising meds
Tx of dyslipidemia
