"I am thinking tonight of the South land,
Of the home of my childhood days"
I interpret this as it meaning that this place is somewhere you'll always remember much like your childhood home.
"Where the roses are in bloom
And the sweet magnolia too,
Where the jasmine is white
And the fields are violet blue"
I think this means that this area is very sweet and nice. There isn't a lot of chaos and city but more field where flowers can bloom and grow.

Reflection on Region
The Southeast is made up of 11 states and has a large history based on a lot of idea points surrounding the civil war. During and after the civil war Many people of the southeast were fro slavery and they fought for the Confederate side. after the civil war in the southeast, there was still a lot of segregation and people of color were still constantly being discriminated against. That was the culture back then but now the southeast has a lot of rich cultures represented in their food, music, and clothing. Mostly the southeast is known for its delicious home cooking and its original music styles such as bluegrass and music by Elvis Presley. The southeast culture has brought the people together since its past and has allowed people to connect.
Daybreak in Alabama
This poem represents the people of the southeast by representing the diversity of the people after their new beginning which I like to think is after the civil war and all the segregation. The author writes about how one day he sees everyone together and that together they make the beauty that is Alabama.

The southeast is known for their music and food. They have a distinct taste in music and a variety of unique platters from different states in that region. Most people in the southeast are religious the most common religions are Christian, Catholic, and baptist. In the South, you will also find many Republicans. The climate that the southeast has is mostly humid subtropical because most states are near the coast.
My region is characterized by stereotypes, food, and music. the southeast is very known for its unique types of food and music. when you here certain food or music you know that it's from Kentucky or Tennessee. Stereotypes are also a big characteristic the southeast because the people there have a certain nature that has to do with their southern culture. # #
