Plot/Climax
Avery's father, Damon, has cheated on Avery's mother. In this chapter, Avery's parents would get into a heated argument about getting divorced.
Avery gets caught in the middle of the argument, realising that she would have to grow up and treat life more seriously and with a mature manner in order to get through the harsh society.
As Avery listens to her parents arguing in the room, she has a flashback of the day her mother went to Canada for a 'visit'.
Beginning: Muffled shouts of anger, sobbing can be heard behind the locked door of the master bedroom.
Climax: Avery's parents come out of the bedroom and started arguing in front of Avery. They argued about divorcement and who's going to have custody of Avery.
Avery realises that her mother has been dancing with the devil under the pale moonlight for all the years that Damon and Angelica has been together.
Ending: With Damon out of the front door and Angelica knelt on the ground, weeping, Avery realised that she is not the old self anymore.
