Perception
Organization
-
-
I personally used my proximity organization skills when determining if two people were a couple or not.
Similarity also can be used to base two things either together or separate.
Contrast occurs when things are very different from one another so you group them separately.
Recall
The final stage of perception is when people are able to recall on the information found in their memory.
Stereotypes are something that people may recall their parents talking about or something they personally remember.
Inconsistencies can occur when the information provided does not really match the stereotype you remember.
-
I can easily recall that patients who are older in age have a difficult time moving around.
What is it?
It is how you acknowledge almost everything such as objects or people through your senses.
Perception actually plays a role in how you carry out a conversation.
Perception can exist in a continuous pattern which can cause them to take place within split seconds of one another.

Stimulation
-
Selective attention is when you decide to put emphasis on something that may fulfill one's needs.
Selective exposure will also play a role in this stage because it is when you give yourself the option to conversations that may confirm certain beliefs.
I used selective exposure when someone was talking about their favorite team because I also believed that the team was the best.
Memory
-
I remember that old people tend to be nicer, I will automatically label Betty as a nice lady because of her age.
Memory can cause people to automatically tag other individuals with attributes due to their social status or cultural belonging.
