After the Cold War and the end of Communism, the EU had decided to come of with a universal currency to be used in every country that was part of the EU, this is known as the Euro.

After the end of the Cold War France had and election, the new leader, Jaques Chirac had created many problems with other countries, as well as tensions with the Muslim population until the election of 2007 when Nicolas Sarkozy was elected and was left in a spot where he had to loosen the tension within the country.

In 1989 The Berlin Wall was torn down which was a sign of the Cold war and reunified Germany, this happened on October 3, 1990.
Economic
India has had one of the biggest and fastest growing economic reforms that took place in 1991, this is because it began to move toward a market based economy

There are still many religious problems between the Hindus and Muslims, they have faced nuclear problems as well as border problems which have even lead to threats of war.
Africa
Economic
After the Cold war many countries faced slow economic growth because of the rapid population growth. While the economy is getting better in many of the countries south of the Sahara, it still is a problem because of the extremely high population.
Social
The biggest social problem faced across Africa is the AIDS pandemic. Two thirds of the AIDS virus is found in Africa south of the Sahara. Even the president of Uganda is making and impressive effort to fight AIDS.
Political
In Africa there have been many female leaders that have worked to improve their whole country, like Louisa Diogo, the leader of Mozambique.

There has been growing political instability even though the congress party has controlled the government for many years, this is because of the tensions between the Hindus and Muslims.
Eastern Europe
Economic
The second president of the Czech Republic, Vaclav Klaus, had created a stable and prosperous economy, even after the fall of communism and many countries were flustered and trying to get back together and stable.
Social
After the end of the Cold War many revolutions broke in Eastern Europe that demanded change in Poland, as well as how ethnic conflicts had separated Czechoslovakia into the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Political
By December of 1989 communist government had collapsed in the Czech Republic, this new Czech democracy was a new order in Europe that had developed and helped the Czech Republic grow in a new era.
East Asia
Economic
In the 1990's it looked as though China Might join the United States as an economic superpower because growth rates and industry remained high and trade relations began to strengthen with other countries.
Social
Post Cold war, the population of China was very large, because of this the government had issued the One-Child Policy, this policy would give families who only had one child benefits, these benefits would help support the child as well as slow population growth.
Political
In South Korea the political position was only getting stronger, the democracy was growing. They are doing this by focusing on the government rather than the nuclear weapons program.
Middle East
Economic
Iran is a very oil rich country in the Middle East with a lot of potentially to produce money if the government would allow it, this government is the Muslim clerics who strictly enforce Islamic Law.
Social
Some of the social challenges faced in the Middle East include the reaction by the United States to the Terrorist attacks of 9/11.
Political
There had been an awful leader by the name of Hosni Mubarak whom had ruled with torture and brutality. In 2011 many protesters had marched in Liberation square causing Mubarak to leave the country and Muhammed Morsi was then elected as the new president.
South/Central America
Economic
Many programs in Latin America have worked to increase public education and shorten the gap between rich and poor. Many of these programs have been successful in South America, but are struggling in Central America.
Social
Brazil and Chile have seen population growth as well as a bigger middle class which helps the whole country.
Political
After the Cold War in the 1990's a political trend occurred and many of the Countries in South America began to elect left wing governments, in and effort to progress politically, these countries included Venezuela and Brazil

By 1987 the Reagan Administration had produced record budget deficits in the United States, this was $420 million dollars. Because of this budget deficit, there continued to be problems for many years and for many presidents because of the extent of this budget deficit.

After the Cold War postmodernism began to emerge in the United Sates, as well as popular culture and cultural imperialism. These things occurred because of how the United Sates was growing and was influencing many countries around the world.
In the United States the Reagan Revolution began and had introduced new United States policies that aimed to reduce welfare policies by cutting spending on food stamps and schools lunch programs.
