The Leaky beaker
Cleric Meridia hired you to investigate disturbing aura of evil and find out what happened regarding the disappearance of her peer, high priest Ermond Pyke.

Ermond Pyke and his whereabouts remain a mystery the merchants in the Revel isle market did not recognize his name, and told you godly folk are found on the gods Isle
The temple of Serenrea was burnt to the ground.... Meridia failed to disclose this to you upon your initial hiring.....
Meridia gifted her Signet ring, which is enchanted with protection from good and evil to JILIPI and assured the party that it would grant entrance to the DARKSPIRE to the party as emissaries to her order....
The Barkeeper told you, Refugees from wars in Imurlean and Yethain are flooding the city,
You were approached by beggar children asking you to find their parents, and who have taken up a collection to hire someone to do so.
The guardsman who chased you off told you the refugees have been fed meat from the hunters camps, and shipments of meats that come in by sea, all of which have been provided by the lady Dorenin..... whom the people seem to have much love for due to this kindness #
People out and about after dark are frequently pressed into service #
Weird bar girl stares off into space, and seems generally strange.
Brain like creatures burst from heads of folk after they die and came very close to slaying you int he alley. Spaced out lady in the market seemed interested in a 5 foot tall black staff that looks like a spinal chord.
Brain creatures, it was disclosed to you, are servants of the illithids

The Senk Goblins
You heard the Margrave lamenting the Senk Goblins raiding the outlying farms and making the food situation even worse
Tool heard that Margrave Dorenin Along with 'Mad Krichner', her man servant were the only survivors of an expedition to the wilderness to get food for the city, they were surrounded by goblins and snowed in for months...

The Verminocitors, are in charge of keeping the city pests under controll
Moondancer's cat clan controls half of the upper city, and is hunted by the verminocitors
Daeric supplanted Moondancers daughter and son, who have a litter of kittens to Meridias boarding house with instructions from the cats to start a new cat clan

The Hashashim
The assassin you cornered in an alleyway, agreed to give you a map of Sidrin Taipans mansion in exchange for his life and your silence, and threatened grave reprisals if you told any one about your encounter with him.
Meridia informed Daeric and Tool that her acolyte charges were murdered by an assassin of the same description, and a swarm of rats.
The Paupers fleet
After receiving word of a bar from whispers in the warf market and surrounds about magical gear, the party made its way to the warf district and saw a dead dwarf woman being dragged off by raven-masked figures via meathook into a locked door. The bar, it seems, was owned by Admiral Borcha, commander of the Paupers fleet.
Admiral Borcha, Tool overheard matches the description of his father, a brutish ork chieftan with metal implants https://imgur.com/a/KAwFY
Admiral Borcha, Tool overheard a sailor say, Captains the Fang a galleon of significant strength
The Factors fleet
You overheard Sidrin Taipan saying to Dorenin that the Factors fleet is responsible for all non-coastal, deep water military security, whereas the Paupers fleet is responsible for coastal security
Sidrin Taipan, in the oppinion of Geth and Zeck, is most likely a mind slave who has had his entire mind wiped and rebuilt by the illithid.
You heard mention of the Krull orc tribe providing the food and meat through the paupers fleet, from their coastal lands south of Tusk Bay
The refugee woman you talked to outside the arena next to the burned down Netaalian embassy let on that the people love Matgrave Dorenin because of the the meats she gets to feed the refugees from the Ork Clans.

The Margrave Dorenin Morgarten, you overheard at the tavern, rules the city in all but name from the darkspire, an ancient nearly indestructible tower made of a mysterious dark substance.
The fleet, you noticed, was divided into two section, a professional looking fancy navy, and a collection of poorer, less impressive craft. # #
Raven masked revelers, you heard in the streets, have stated a party is to be held on the gods isle tomorrow night, with free food and drink for all. The part is in honor of the Raven Queen.

The Margrave Dorenin in the Darkspire seemed to dismiss your concerns of bad dreams and crazy rat monsters as yet another plot to stir up fear by outside claimants on the city of skell. Dorenin gave you free passage of the city, and the Githzerai Geth & Zeck as companions, seemingly to get rid of their pestering her about the threats to her city.

DM notes! Hi guys! Are you confused? Well... shit is confusing! I tend to get very caught up in the villains motivations, I also don't really believe in villains. To quote a great mind :fountain_pen: "A good villain believes he is right, a great villainn is right. Here is some source material I have explored in the creation of your story :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VtyKPY-2lT0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J8RYhB_denI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=48YkLFv8X3w Gary Gygax, the creator of DnD, was a huge fan of the writer H.P.Lovecraft. This campaign is my homage to that mythos....If you don't look at any of this that is ok too! I am trying to craft a fun adventure that works for everyone, and I am heavily invested behind the scenes in all your characters and interweaving them with the story we are building together! Looking forward to next session! -Kyle
