This is defined as having limited strength, vitality or alertness, including a heightened alertness to environmental stimuli, which results in limited alertness with respect to the educational that is due to chronic or acute health problems such as asthma, ADD, ADHD, diabetes, epilepsy, Tourette's Syndrome, heart conditions, and leukemia. Educational methods that can be used are: specialized technology, rest periods, shortened school day, IEP, intervention program, classroom environment (seating, organization, schedule), task level (length or participation), rules, and communication.
