historical significance
world war 2
wars were basically going on all around the world. The Japan empire wanted to take over places like Asia and the pacific areas. While France basically declared war upon Germany and the UK. so many wars were going and this war lasted until 1944. After this big war was done many countries signed a a peace treaty.
-
this is historically significant because this was one of the biggest wars, therefore many lives were lost. also many things went on during this war. including a peace treaty being signed so that there would be peace today and in the future.

black rights
this is historically significant because it basically changed many peoples way of viewing others of different race. most people realized they needed to change and also realized that color is just a color, and no matter what color you are your still human and should be treated the same as everyone else. and the rights that the blacks earned not only changed their life but others lives as well. if the blacks did not stand up for themselves to earn their rights and equality many people of color would still be suffering and their lives would be miserable. Today racism still exists but not as badly as it did then. showing that that whole thing changed the world.
Some blacks in America during this time had their freedom but did not have any rights. They were treated unequally and unfairly. The blacks had to fight very hard for their rights and equality, and in this process to many black lives were lost. But one day they were able to have their rights, and to live their life with less fear of being persecuted and such because of their skin.

women's rights/vote
for many years women were not allowed to do what men did because they did not have much rights. one important right that they didn't have was the right to vote. they believed that their voices were just as important as the men , and they are. after all their hard work they were able to achieve their goal and received their right to vote .
-
this is historically significant because without the women who stood up years ago we would not have the privileges we do today. Our voices possibly would not be heard. So because they spoke many women in different countries were also able to have the right to vote and so on.

hiroshima
The first deployed atomic bomb was dropped in Japan by an American bomber during world war 2 . this killed many people and destroyed most of the city. After the bombing Japan surrendered, so the war was ended .
-
This is historically significant because it was the first ever deployed atomic bomb dropped in history, it it showed how dangerous the bomb truly is. This was also a devastating experience for the people of japan because they lost lots of their loved ones or they had to deal with injuries and such. But even though the bomb caused a big problem it helps to keep peace because almost every country has one so if one attacks the other will as well resulting in both being destroyed. So in some weird way it brought peace and awareness, making people think before deciding to drop this dangerous bomb again.

Canada's independance
-
-
Canada was first controlled by the British, but then the people of Canada wanted to become an independant country so growing Canada could increase its autonomy. they got their independance by asking Britian and it was granted; and it was said that Canada was the first country to gain its independance through legislation.
This is historically significant for Canada because independence gives a country its identity and gives its freedom to create its own laws and such. it also meant that Canada did not have to be involved with conflicts between Britain and other places, because it was no longer a part of Britain. therefore less of their people being involved in war and getting injured because of it.
