Weather conditions associated with Tropical Cyclones
As the cyclone approaches [1st Eyewall]
Temperature and humidity are high
Pressure starts to fall and conditions will be relatively calm
Cirrus clouds will appear and thicken into cumulus and cumulonimbus clouds as the storm approaches
The wind will strengthen
Torrential rain, hail, thunder and lightening will occur.
The temperatures will drop as the pressure continues to drop
As the eye passed overhead
The temperature will increase slightly and the wind will suddenly drop
The pressure will reach its lowest point
There will be scattered clouds, with sunny conditions and no rain
The conditions willprevail for up to 2 hours
As the cyclone moves away [2nd Eyewall]
The pressure will start to rise and winds will reach hurricane force
Conditions will be similar to those experienced in the first vortex, although rear winds are often more destructive
There is a reversal of wind direction as the second vortex passes

Storm surges
