When was the Wannsee conference?
BEFORE WANNSEE - 1st meeting: 31st July 1941- 10 minute meeting where the idea of exterminating the Jews is raised. Goring asks Heydrich to come up with a plan to fix the 'Jewish problem'

What was discussed at the Wannsee conference?
Plan the technical details in exterminating the Jews
Want to expand and increase the speed of killing the Jews-
make it more efficient and on a wider scale
They have to work out how they are going to transport them and how they are going to kill them.
What was the Final Solution?
Sometime in late 1941 the decision was made to move all Jews East, claim it was for resettlement, but in fact if was the planned systematic extermination of the Jews.
How was the Final Solution carried out?
Jews were transported in cattle trucks in railway carriages
Rail lines went straight into the camps
They were told to take off their clothes for cleaning
Lead into showers- in the roof of the showers a gas called
Zyklon B
was released
Where and when was it carried out?
Majority in Poland
e.g. Treblinka
Auschwitz-Birkenau
Sobibor
1942-44- only stopped when Russia took their land back
Mainly in Eastern Europe but some in Germany
