Potassium - Vasodilator, suppresses salt induced oxidative stress. (bananas, avocados, greens, legumes- plant based foods.)
Co Q10, if patient is on statin.
Reduce Sodium chloride (assess salt intake) 7 day diet diary- Individuals with salt sensitivity.
Fish oil, 5gm's or higher. produces PG1 and PG3, anti-inflammatory.
Anti-platelet- high in sulphar.
Cessation of smoking
High consumption of caffeine
Olive oil and nuts (PREDIMED trial)
Essential/primary hypertension (No clear cause)
