Aims
• Maintain hydration and adequate microbiome status.
• Manage inflammation
• Remove inflammatory foods.
• Include “non-reactive” easily digestible foods.
• Consider elimination diet.
• Modify immune response
• Support NS during physical and mental stress flare up.

Damage to the cells of the SI and LI -> Malabsorption,ulceration, stricture

Maintenance
• Ensure adequate protein intake & balance calorific demands
• Encourage small, frequent, nutrient dense meals
• Allergenic free diet & / or an elimination diet
• Continue to support healthy immune response (Th1:Th2) and inflammatory responses
• Support nervous system
• Refer to counsellor if necessary
