The Authorized Economic Operator (OAS) is an initiative of international customs control, led by the World Customs Organization (WCO), which has as essential an agile, transparent and safe trade.
Colombia, through the Dian, has welcomed this figure since 2011 in order to generate a responsible customs culture
Participation in the programmed training activities for the Authorized Economic Operators, by the control authorities in matters of their competence
Decrease in the number of surveys, physical and documentary inspections for export, import and customs transit operations by the National Tax and Customs Directorate, and decrease in physical inspections for export operations by the Colombian National Police.
Authorization to carry out the inspection of goods subject to exportation ordered by the Colombian Agricultural Institute ICA, in the facilities of the exporter and deposithabilitado, when it should occur.
Decrease in the number of physical inspections for export operations by the Instituto Colombiano Agropecuario ICA.
To re-load the merchandise that, at the moment of the customs intervention in the previous and simultaneous control, results different from those negotiated and that arrived in the country by mistake of the supplier.
In order to continue with the implementation and strengthening of the Authorized Economic Operator in Colombia, Resolution No. 4089 of May 22, 2018 has been issued, which opened the program for the Customs Agencies.
The participation of these, as an important actor in the international supply chain entails for the country and the Colombian foreign trade to achieve better levels of competitiveness, generate trust, cooperation, transparency, application of the best international standards and strengthening of the security of the logistics chain.
