Describe the camp
Talk about it was very nice and I wasn't really roughing it, but it still felt like it
Talk about how the camp was meant to foster a sense of community and it did a great job of dealing with kids who were homesick.

It was two weeks long, but went by very quck
It was my first time away from home for that long, but it went quick because of the activities and nice staff
Specific memory I have is the "quiet hour," where I would eat M&Ms and write letters to my family members

Conclusion
While traveling and living without family can be a nervous experience in the moment, I have emerged from it unscathed, and have become a more confident person because of it.
In the end, these experiences have shaped me in a relatively risk-free environment, allowing me to experience what it is like to be on my own without being in any actual danger.
I believe that not only did my experiences traveling alone shape me in the moment, but continue to shape me today, as they are part of an ever-expanding positive feedback loop of gains in confidence allowing me to try new experiences which lead to new gains in confidence.
