⚠ if abdo tenderness associated with abdo distension → hospital as could have toxic megacolon (potentially fatal)
⚠ Anti-diarrhoea drugs →don't decrease stool frequency in UC + diminish colonic motility →stasis + toxic megacolon ⚠NSAIDS →can exacerbate IBD symptoms
