Definition
Person employed in a country to which the person is not a citizen
Employment of Foreign Manpower Act (EFMA)
prescribes the responsibilities & obligations for employing foreign employees in Singapore
Covers regulations & enforcement for work passes & offences
Covers any person issued a work pass by the MOM
Age Criteria
Must be at least 18 years old to be a work pass holder

Not EP holder under sponsorship scheme
Not freelancer or foreigner who intends to work on freelance-basis
Not a sole proprietor, partner or director as a shareholder in ACRA registered company
Not a journalist, editor, sub-editor or producer
To keep pass
Not unemployed in Singapore for more than 6 months
Earn at least $144,000 per calendar year
Salary requirements
Current EP holders that earn at least $12,000 a month
Overseas foreign professionals that earn at least $18,000 a month
