Head muscles

-
-
-
sternocleidomastoid
flexes head, votates head side to side lets you shake your head
-
Arm muscles
-
-
deltoid
abducts arm, extends or flexes humerus

Trunk muscles
pectoralis major
flexion , adduction and rotation of the shoulder
-
-
-
latissimus dorsi
arm extasian adducts ( medially) rejats arm, depresses scapula , pull arm downward

Sliding Filament Theory
1.Nerve impulse or action potential travels down surcolemma and into T-tubules, causing sarcoplamic reticulum to release Ca++ into saruplasm
- Ca++ bilnds to active mystilament exposing the myosin binging site
- myosin attaches to action forming actin myosin, cross bridges
- myosin head moves toward m line of sarcomere, pulling acting filaments past myosin
- this action is repeated marry time powered by ATP
- 2 lines get closer together as action 3 myosin filaments slide past each other

Types of muscle tissue
Skeletal
cells are long, cylindrical parallel and multinucleated
Cardiac
cells are long, cylindrical, branched, has single central nucleus
