Climate and Weather
Climate
Climate depends on the amount of sunlight it receives, its height above sea level, the shape of the land, and how close it is to oceans.
People who study climate and define it by many factors, including precipitation, temperature, air pressure are called Climatologists
When sunlight hits earth, land, and water soak up some of the energy. Carbon dioxide and methane act as a barrier, effective of absorbing and redirecting heat. (greenhouse gases)
Natural processes keep the level of greenhouse gases just right, however human activity is throwing off the balance, like burning fossil fuels.

The rapid change causes species to extinct, also can cause serve storms.
Weather
-
Condensation happens when the air cannot hold any more moisture, and so the water vapor returns to its original liquid state.
It can produce fog or mist in ground level, and it creates clouds when in the atmosphere.
In high pressured areas, air descends toward Earth's surface, and low pressured areas, air rises to the atmosphere.
Between air masses where heavy storms and serious weather can take place are boundaries called fronts.

Types of Climates
Tropical climates are close to the equator, get more sunlight and its very hot, average about 64 degrees F
Arid climates are close to the equator, gets less than 25 cm of rain per year, includes desserts
Temperate climates is when summer is really hot and winters are very cold, find in the Mediterranean Sea
Humid continental climates have warm summers and cold winters, found in North america and Eastern Europe
