Disruptive Behavior
Maria, a high school student speaks out of turn and blurts out the answers before any of her peers ever have a chance. Raising hand or waiting patiently are almost non-existent with her. She is out of her seat and walks around the class, bothering other students. Her English teacher Miss Catherine has drawn up three tier-interventions and corresponding data tracking to address this issue in the hopes of positive outcome
Tier 1 Intervention:
1) Teacher calls the student aside and speaks to her in the hallway
2)Acknowledges Positive Behavior
3)Praises when cooperative and well behaved
4)Redirection to a different activity or sending the student on an errand
5)Have a Parent Meeting

Strategy 2: Assign a Special Job:Assign the disruptive Student a special job in the classroom that makes them feel important. You may ask that child to be a helper to another student, or allow them to help you do jobs in the classroom. This helps to build their confidence and as they are praised for a job well done, they will start to enjoy the attention they get from doing a great job.
Strategy 1: Talking Tokens: Give student 3 Tokens and ask them to use these tokens wisely during one class period to ask questions. When they run out of it, they would have to wait till end of class to talk. This helps the student in staying on task in class and allow the class to proceed.
Tardiness Behavior
Tier 1:
1)Assign a buddy or partner
2) Assign a classroom job so he knows he needs to be on time
3) Acknowledge Positive behavior
4)Parent contact
Tier 2:
1) Check in Check out(CICO)
2) Non-verbal cues and visual signals
3) Individual & Visual Schedules
4) Reward System
