Steps to Hiring Policy:
Define the Job Clearly
Hire the best person for the job
Pray
Match the person to the job
Think through crucial issues ahead of time
Establish a trial period
examine the character of potential managers and executive team members
Consider meeting the spouse
When considering a promotion
Pray
Evaluate how the person has performed in the past
Make sure you don't set them up for failure
Look at spiritual maturity!
Subtle disobedience is hard to notice but also hard to deal with when noticed. (by comments, small actions, etc.)
Don't be lazy. Work hard!
Establish policies that encourage hard work and choose employees that do so.
Incompetence (another reason to dismiss an employee.) Often hard, but don't keep them or you will just be doing a disservice to them.
Value loyalty.
