Crime was a normal daily routine for people as they had to find things like food and appliances for their family.
Crimes like murder and injuring another being, would result in punishments like hanging and drowning.
Most people that comitted crime were often poor as they had no money meaning that they head to deal their everyday necesseties.

Crimes like stealing/theft would result in torture like whiplashing and stretching of the ligaments.

In the medieval times it was believed that the only way to control crime was by harsh and evil like punishment.
Punishments were commonly to do with torture as it was to stop the crime committer from doing the crime again.

If the punishment issued on a crime committer did not work, the congregation would decide what punishment is next for the person.
