- - - - Student exhibits signs putting them in one of the 14 disability categories listed in IDEA:
        Autism
        Deaf-blindness
        Deafness
        Developmental delay
        Emotional disturbance
        Hearing impairment
        Intellectual disability
        Multiple disabilities
        Orthopedic impairment
        Other health impairment
        Specific learning disability
        Speech or language impairment
        Traumatic brain injury
        Visual impairment, including blindness
        
        Evidence of a disability is gathered and presented to the student's parents.
        
        Student is placed on IEP or 504 plan
        
        Student is given the accommodations necessary for their success based on the information in their IEP or 504 plan.
        
        Student continues in class with the same accommodations as non-disabled students. (Not ideal)
      - Other factors. Failure to turn in homework / assignments, for example.
        
        Student is provided with accommodations such as tutoring / make up sessions.

        Continue with special education expert's instructions.
