Week 2

Week 1

Collective Intelligence: Shared or group intelligence that emerges from the collaboration and competition of many
individuals. An essential part of this collective intelligence is the allowance for independence within this collaboration.

Emergence: Happens When a higher level of complexity emerges and gives birth to a differentiated autonotmous and autopoietic system

Mass literacy and global reach: beginning from the printing press, we have slowly begun to broaden the distribution of knowledge in society.

Holopticism: The means By which any participant percieves, in real time the manifestation of other members of the group (Horizontal axis) as well as the superior emerging organization (vertical axis)

Object Links: Communities always self organise around circulating objects whether real or symbolic. ie. Balls, objectives, ideals, enemies, prey, melodies, art, or symbols.

Money:Money itself does not have any value, it gets value only when people use it to buy or sell things(or services). So money can be anything, it only for easy to make deal with others.

Age of Networked Intelligence

Focuses on the four principles of

Transparency/Openness: people and companies need to be open about their ideas to the rest of the public on the internet so their products can be improved.

Collaboration: Ideas such as making open source software to be modified or altered by external personnel allows a company to draw innovation from sources far past the traditional walls of a company, such as modding tools for games.

Sharing: allowing the public usage of property to allow for a greater global allowance for innovation, focused on the freeing of rights to property and software

Empowerment: Giving power and freedom to act to the public to bring about societal and/or environmental change

Language: Language is the tool for people to communicate with others, or things. Everyone has own habbit of speaking or writing. Language is the way to make others known about the inner of someone, and it does effect people at the same time. The grammar is the habbit of language to make it easier to understand.

Three Main Categories

Yum-yum objects: prey objects we need to catch for ourselfs. cooporate to reduce scarcity from an individual perspective. (pack of wolves to catch the deer) ie. Money, notoriety, power, time, attention, gold and oil.

Monster Objects: Threats, enemies, diseases are examples of easy to objectivize monster objects which makes which makes them strong community catalysts.text

Art Objects: Projections of our desires within time that we create as a natural outcome of living a full and vibrant life. in opposition to yum yum and monster objects they are not created as a reaction to the world but offered by creation. Holoptical archetures facililitate their existence.

Social networks, small worlds and tipping points: Many networks having specific yet similar topologies where by alll agents are in close proximity with all others have an extraordinary potential for synchronicity and a capacity to work in unison when subject to slight differences in underlying variables; ( "theory of small worlds" )

Semantic web, meaning and mental representation: Cyberspace acts as a universal knowledge map, hyperlinks connect objects documents and content and links can be labeled with metadata, information on information whos organisation is based on the rules of formal logics.

Part 2:

2:The concept of object-links are not as much a fledgling idea as much as it is a reflection on a phenomena already present in the world. As such, it is most accurately referred to as a reflective academic theory of society.

3:The theory of society nowdays is only on the stage - people found something happens times and times, then analys it to build a theory. The three big categories are about the relationship betwwen one and all. Personerly, the next step should be people able to understand others like same people, but everyone still has own mind. So it may be easier to find out the links between objects.

1: Object Links of Collective Intelligence. The emergent quality of small groups working toward an agreed upon goal is demonstrated in many areas in nature and societies. The key factor being some object whether real or symbolic that the group can converge around. ie. Melody, Ball, Deer. Three types of Objects are Monster objects which are threats, enemies or diseases that makes them catalysts for people to join together. Yum Yum Objects which people desire for themselves such as money, power and attention. Art objects are the product of a creative impulse enabled by holoptical architectures.

4: This theory cannot really be quantified as a process of change, as it is a reflective theory on society. We can, however, consider the consequences of each of the three forms of collective intelligence as they exist in our current world. An easy example of yum-yum objects can be money or social prestige, an example of monster objects can be things like immigrants, refugees, LGBT movements, and foreign presences, and finally, examples of Art objects can be Anzac day, national pride, social change movements, and good life models (yoga, healthy eating, recycling and such). The most solid example of change object-links might effect in today's society is the dissolution of centralized sources of object-links, where the internet and social media allows for such a wide forum, that any variant structure of object-links can be taken and supported by any number of social groups. This can be seen in the more radical social groups, who redefine mainstream object-links into their own structure of object-links for better or worse.

Pareto principle and social justice: 80 - 20 rule (condensation rule) that 20% of the population poseses 80% of the money. The process has also been noted in physics.
