Gravitational Pull-Definition of the Earth's Gravitational Pull. The gravitational pull of the earth is the attraction that the earth exerts on an object or that an object exerts on the earth.
gravity force-Newton's law of gravity states that the gravitational force between two bodies is proportional to the product of their masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them.
Light Years-a unit of astronomical distance equivalent to the distance that light travels in one year, which is 9.4607 × 1012 km (nearly 6 million million miles).

Waning Gibbous-Just after Full Moon, when the face of the Moon is 100% illuminated, the intermediate phase called Waning Gibbous Moon starts. Waning means that it is getting smaller. Gibbous refers to the shape, which is less than the full circle of a Full Moon, but larger than the semicircle shape of the Third Quarter Moon.
Waxing Gibbous-A waxing gibbous moon rises during the hours between noon and sunset. It sets in the wee hours after midnight. It falls between a first quarter moon and a full moon. ... Any moon that appears more than half lighted but less than full is called a gibbous moon. The word gibbous comes from a root word that means hump-backed.Jul 5, 2017
Wanning Crescent-Occurs when the moon's illumination is increasing, ... The moon is one-half illuminated by the sun. Occurs when the moon's illumination is decreasing, Waning Crescent. The moon is less than one-half illuminated by the sun but less than one quarter illuminated.
Waxing Crescent-Waxing Crescent. The moon is less than one-half illuminated by the sun but less than one quarter illuminated. Occurs when the moon's illumination is increasing, First Quarter. The moon is one-half illuminated by the sun.
Waning-(of the moon) have a progressively smaller part of its visible surface illuminated, so that it appears to decrease in size.
New Moon-the time at which the moon is in conjunction with the sun, when it is not visible from the earth.

Third Quarter moon-The moon is one-half illuminated by the sun. Occurs when the moon's illumination is decreasing, Waning Crescent. The moon is less than one-half illuminated by the sun but less than one quarter illuminated. ... THIRD QUARTER THE MOON IS ONE HAL ILLUMINATED BY THE SUN.

Moon Orbit-An orbit is a regular, repeating path that one object in space takes around another one. An object in an orbit is called a satellite. A satellite can be natural, like Earth or the moon. Many planets have moons that orbit them.
Nodes-either of the two points at which a planet's orbit intersects the plane of the ecliptic or the celestial equator.

Diamond Ring Effect-diamond ring effect. noun, Astronomy. 1. a phenomenon, sometimes observed immediately before and after a total eclipse of the sun, in which one of Baily's beads is much brighter than the others, resembling a diamond ring around the moon.
Annular Eclipse-an eclipse of the sun in which the edge of the sun remains visible as a bright ring around the moon.
Elliptical Orbit-In astrodynamics or celestial mechanics, an elliptic orbit or elliptical orbit is a Kepler orbit with an eccentricity of less than 1; this includes the special case of a circular orbit, with eccentricity equal to 0.
