Research have shown that the implementation of family-friendly policies is associated with positive outcomes
including satisfaction with work-family balance (Ezra & Deckman, 1996), reduced work-family conflict (Goff, Mount
& Jamison, 1990), greater commitment to their organization, greater intention to remain in their organization, and a
higher level of job satisfaction (Jones & McKenna, 2002), employee retention and reduced stress (Johnson, 1995).
Research on flexitime has shown that absenteeism and turnover are reduced, productivity and morale are increased, and
truancy reduced (Dalton & Mesch, 1990; Guy, 1993; Mellor, 1986)
