OPTIONS FOR THE TRIP to Russia and Client Meetings :
OPTION 1: Full steam ahead – Believe that all will be OK!”
WHAT IT IMPLIES
As per the agenda and plan rev 3 sent by Conrad
confirm the meetings with clients and the team
– introduce Rob as if he is part of the team and the employment contract is in place, etc:
PROS: :check:
All follows the "plan" - .timelines are known
Rob is introduced in positive hopefulness that all will be ok…
CONS: :red_cross:
the issue of Rob’s position is unconfirmed as no offer or draft contract has been put in place.
Pierre’s comment was that I would then be remunerated for the time and cost of the trip. But is there sense of me being part of this trip then if the offer to me will not materialise?
RISK :black_flag:
Loss of face in terms of the clients to whom you are introducing Rob.
Option 2: “ Do things logically but in parallel – WASTE NO TIME”
WHAT IT IMPLIES
Speed up the offer/contract preparation finalise the negotiations with Hatch and RM.
Delay the trip by a week (or reasonable time).
RISK: :black_flag:
Delay, potential issue with Client's calendars
PROS :check:
RM joins in the position as expected and represents the correct face to the clients at the meetings.
CONS :red_cross:
Meetings are delayed by a reasonable time (Russian clients do this all the time).
OPTION 3: “Step by Step – Sequentially”
WHAT IT IMPLIES:
Cancel the client meetings as per the proposed Agenda.
get Rob onboard
let Rob setup the meetings and Conrad, Simon and Andrei to support Rob once he is part of the team
RISK :black_flag:
Delay as per the expected timeline
Change of priorities as Rob onboards
PROS :check:
Logical sequential progress and onboarding process and development of the team
CONS :red_cross:
Time/schedule is unknown as of now and important key milestones may be missed and the various opportunities may have to be “rebuilt” from scratch with the Clients.
