Human Respiratory System (Siqi, Snow, Haotian)
-
Parts
Bronchi
The bronchi become smaller the closer they get to the lung tissue and are then considered bronchioles.
These passageways then breaks down into tiny air sacs called alveolar, which is the site of oxygen and carbon dioxide exchange in the respiratory system.
-
The bronchioles or bronchioli are the passageways by which air passes through the nose or mouth to the alveoli (air sacs) of the lungs, in which branches no longer contain cartilage or glands in their submucosa.
Trachea
-
Trachea or the windpipe is a wide, hollow tube that connects the larynx to the bronchi of the lungs.
Pharynx
The membrane lined cavity behind the nose and mouth, connecting them to the windpipe.
